Dr. Ahmed performs arm lift procedures on an outpatient basis. On the day of your surgery, we will begin by administering local or general anesthesia, depending on your treatment plan. There are three arm lift techniques, which differ based on the severity of the conditions being treated.
FULL ARM LIFT
A full arm lift can treat patients with moderate sagging skin and excess fat on their upper arms. It involves two major incisions that run vertically from the armpit to the elbow. The incisions are made underneath the armpit and on the back of the arm to minimize visible scarring.
MINI ARM LIFT
The mini arm lift can treat patients with mild amounts of sagging skin and excess fat on their upper arms. It involves a small crescent-shaped incision beneath the armpit, so visible scarring is not an issue.
EXTENDED ARM LIFT
An extended arm lift can treat patients with severe amounts of sagging skin and excess fat on their upper arms. It employs the same incisions as the full arm lift, with a third incision extending horizontally from the underarm to the chest. This third incision can help to reduce accumulated skin and fat in the armpit area. Liposuction is often necessary for this procedure.
