VASER Hi-Def Liposuction for Arms and Legs
Conveniently located to serve the areas of Las Vegas and Henderson, NV
What is VASER Hi-Def? VASER Hi-Def Liposuction for arms and legs, also called VASERlipo, is an aesthetic procedure that removes fat using traditional liposuction techniques improved by high-frequency sound waves. VASER, which stands for Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, is a sculpting procedure that can also be a debulking technique. [1] Also known as lipoplasty, this minimally-invasive technology is more effective for contouring and superficial fat reduction than traditional liposuction because the VASER technology allows fat to be removed more efficiently. VASER Hi-Def for the arms and legs achieves results previously unattainable, whether with traditional liposuction or diet and exercise. These areas of the body can be next to impossible to spot-reduce, but with VASER Hi-Def, patients will experience fat reduction and beautiful contouring. Ready for the best part? The innovative liposculpture procedure can create the appearance of muscle definition.

More About VASERlipo
Liposuction is still one of the top cosmetic procedures performed on patients in the U.S. [2]; this new method for fat removal using high-frequency sound waves was introduced clinically in 1989. [3] In 2003, a new sculpting technique called “liposculpture” changed the hi-def contouring game. The initial high-definition liposculpture (HDL) methods pushed surgeons and patients to their limits. Thanks to scientific advances and clinical studies, VASER liposuction is now the gold standard for fat reduction.
With proper training, surgeons can use VASER Hi-Def to produce an incredibly sculpted physique without setting foot in the gym. Dr. Ahmed has undergone specialized training under the master tutelage of Dr. Hüseyin Kandalu M.D., a premiere international authority on VASER techniques. This training has allowed Dr. Ahmed to navigate the complex relationships between superficial fat, deep fat, muscle, and bone, and master this powerful cosmetic tool for total body transformation.
How Do Sound Waves Affect Fat?
The energy wavelengths in VASER Hi-Def directly target the fat cells. This energy, produced by vibrations in the cannula (wand), breaks cellular walls and releases the contents inside: triglycerides, normal interstitial fluid, and tumescent fluid. These fluids mix to create a fatty emulsion, which is then extracted using low-vacuum suction. [3] VASER technology is also different because it allows surgeons to manipulate the fat like clay when it is emulsified, creating the appearance of enhanced muscle tone and contours that one may not find even after months in the gym. [1] Dr. Ahmed can create your body’s ideal silhouette – the beautiful curves and contours that satisfy today’s aesthetic standards.
What are the Benefits of Liposculpture?
Traditional liposuction techniques were introduced in the early 80s in the United States. Initially, the technique was “dry,” but this method came with increased bleeding. Eventually, surgeons infiltrated treatment areas with saline and epinephrine to decrease bleeding. [3] The tumescent technique surgeons use today stemmed from this original method; tumescent fluid contains a cocktail of saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine to facilitate fat removal. These components work together to make fat removal more efficient, increase patient comfort, and improve recovery.
VASER technology is suitable for debulking, but the genuine advances for cosmetic application lie in the delicate contouring of the fat directly under the skin’s surface. Emulsifying this fat allows surgeons to accentuate muscle groups in each treatment area. [1]
Ideal Candidates for VASER Hi-Def
While VASER Hi-Def is a good spot debulking technique for patients at any age, it can only treat people with a body mass index (BMI) under 30 and patients who are at or near their ideal weight.
VASER Hi-Def can help patients who wish to:
- Target isolated pockets of fat that create an unappealing silhouette.
- Add sculpted definition.
- Remove the thin layer of subcutaneous fat that hides muscular definition.
VASERlipo is not a weight loss solution, but it can be used to eliminate pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. Patients with fat deposits in multiple areas can choose to treat numerous locations at once in the same treatment session. Furthermore, ideal candidates for VASER Hi-Def should be non-smokers or willing to quit temporarily and be free of severe health complications. In addition, they should commit themselves to lead a healthy lifestyle after treatment. It is equally important that patients have realistic expectations to ensure patient satisfaction.
Personal Consultation
Dr. Ahmed is a triple board-certified physician passionate about helping his patients achieve their aesthetic dreams. Dr. Ahmed will guide you to effectively communicate your cosmetic goals so he can explain how VASER Hi-Def can achieve the desired results. But he doesn’t just want to hear about your concerns with your figure; he wants to hear about how these concerns have affected your life. By understanding you as a person, Dr. Ahmed will better understand how a cosmetic procedure can change your life. During your consultation, you will be asked to disclose all medications you take, including blood thinners, and then Dr. Ahmed will perform a medical exam and review your medical history.
During your physical exam, Dr. Ahmed will pay special attention to the proposed treatment areas; fat deposits, muscle tone, and skin laxity will determine if VASERlipo is right for you. If this is the proper treatment for you, he will outline a personalized treatment plan, so you will completely understand your procedure.
Preparing for VASER Hi-Def Liposculpture
There are a few things patients are encouraged to do before meeting their new body; these include:
- Collect prescription medicines prescribed by Dr. Ahmed, which will help you during recovery.
- Stop smoking for at least two weeks before your procedure, as it can stop the body from healing efficiently.
- Arrange for someone to drive you home and stay with you overnight the first night after your procedure.
- Arrange for care at home as necessary.
Strictly adhering to Dr. Ahmed’s guidelines leading up to your VASERlipo treatment will ensure you are safe during your procedure and the subsequent recovery.
The Procedure
To ensure your procedure is as comfortable as possible, a board-certified anesthesiologist will administer the proper anesthesia for your needs. Then, the aforementioned tumescent fluid is injected into the skin at the treatment site. Dr. Ahmed will then make small incisions to access the area designated for treatment; these are just wide enough for a small cannula to be inserted subdermally. Then, once inserted, the VASER machine emits highly specialized ultrasound waves through the cannula. These waves agitate the tumescent fluid and liquefy the fat deposits for gentle suction removal through the same cannula. [1]
Traditional lipoplasty techniques usually cannot reveal muscular structures because fat still sits close to the skin’s surface. But these liposuction refinements have made it possible to dramatically alter this fat, accomplishing excellent contouring almost anywhere on the body! Using these techniques, Dr. Ahmed can add definition to the biceps, triceps, calves, and ankles while debulking areas like the upper arm and the inner thighs.
After your treatment is complete, compression garments and medication will help manage mild pain, swelling, bruising, and soreness. These symptoms will go away in a few weeks.
Recovery
VASERlipo offers a significantly reduced recovery time because of the VASER vibrating cannula. The high-frequency sound waves emulsify fat in the targeted area erasing the need for the traditional technique of tugging and pulling the cannula. [4] Once these vibrations emulsify the fat, it is easily removed by a gentle vacuum current. Traditional liposuction can inadvertently damage connective tissues that support your skin, which increases recovery time and the risk of injury. [5]
Minimal Downtime and Quick Results!
Patients generally take 3-5 days off from work devoted to recovery. Additionally, patients will benefit from the following recovery guidelines:
- Avoid strenuous activity for a month.
- Take short, brisk walks to aid circulation and healing.
- The remaining fat cells can still expand and affect your results, so it is essential to maintain a healthy diet and exercise.
Patients can see an immediate difference after treatment. Continued improvement will be seen once swelling and bruising have gone away. Once you’ve fully recovered, you will notice a more slender, athletic appearance with a sleek definition at around three to six months. Enjoy your results, knowing the removed fat will never return!
