Breast Lift
Conveniently located to serve the areas of Las Vegas and Henderson, NV
A Breast Lift is a surgical procedure that alters the curvature of the breasts and gives them a shapelier, youthful appearance.
It is a process where unwanted skin is removed and breast tissue is reshaped to raise the breasts. The aging process causes a natural loss of breast volume and excess skin. Patients who have also experienced pregnancy, breastfeeding, and significant weight changes may all be qualified candidates for the procedure. Ptosis, or severely sagging breasts, can have a major effect on the body and your emotional health.
If the position and appearance of your breasts have gotten you down, then a breast lift might be worth it. At Las Vegas Body Sculpting and Aesthetic, Mustafa Ahmed, MD, uses the latest breast lift techniques to give women in and around the southern Nevada region firmer breasts with improved contouring.

About Breast Lift
The medical term for a breast lift is known as mastopexy. The procedure ushers in sweeping changes into patients’ lives as it seeks to correct some imperfections in the breast. It improves the overall body aesthetic and provides a contoured appearance. During the breast lift operation, Dr. Ahmed will remove excess stretched skin.[1] The nipple may be repositioned depending on the shape of the breast and the location of the nipple. Any remaining skin is then tightened up so the breast can lie in a natural position. This projects a brand new look that is fuller and pert.
This procedure has done wonders for our patient’s body contours and self-esteem. A Breast Lift can also help with:
- Limp and hanging breasts
- Nipples pointing in different directions
- Stretched areolas
- Incongruent breasts

Preparing for Breast Lift
Being a step ahead and preparing for your treatment will set you up to win. With good planning and support from our friendly staff, you can be assured that you are in good hands. We advise patients to pick a care companion to drive them home and help them settle on the first day after surgery. Your upper body will be limited so make sure you prepare your home with groceries and other essential items so you can move about easily. You will be directed to stop taking blood-thinning medications such as anti-inflammatories, herbal supplements, and aspirin just before and after your treatment. It is best to avoid tobacco and alcoholic beverages for the time leading up to your surgery.
Procedure
A breast uplift changes the way the chest appears. Just before your operation, Dr. Ahmed will meet with you to finalize any remaining items. Next, he will mark your skin with temporary reference marks to highlight areas of focus. Once you are in the procedure room, you will be resting comfortably so you have a pleasant experience.
The procedure is highly customized to fit the needs of every patient. The general steps to operation involve incisions made along the breast where surplus skin is removed. The remaining skin is tightened and lifted, creating a personalized and flattering look. Most often, the areolas are resized and the nipples will be relocated upwards.[3] The results will be a reinvigorated chest that will make you feel young again.
The exact surgical pathway will depend on your needs and the shape of your breasts. Breast lift incision options include:
Crescent Lift
This method is used to correct minor scarring and sagging. It involves making a small incision that goes halfway around the top half of the edge of the areola.
Peri-Areolar or “Donut” Lift
Women experiencing mild forms of sagging are good candidates for this procedure. A circular incision goes from the edge of the areola. Like a crescent lift, this is commonly done alongside breast augmentation. The resulting scar traces the edge of the areola.
Vertical or “Lollipop” Lift
This method is commonly used because it allows the removal of excess skin and reshapes the entire breast with easily hidden scars. [4] This method is for patients who have moderate sagging.
Inverted T or “Anchor” Lift
This technique is reserved for cases that require extensive reshaping to correct considerable sagging. This process involves three incisions: one around the edge of the areola, one vertically from the bottom of the areola to the breast crease, and one along the inframammary fold, hidden in the breast crease. [5] The anchor lift leaves some scarring behind but they fade away with proper care.
Recovery
The journey to recovery may look different to each patient. However, our staff will be there to coach you on the specifics of your after-surgery care. Most may experience tenderness, mild swelling, bruising, and discomfort around their breasts. Dr. Ahmed will prescribe pain management medications to ease discomfort. When you return home, you will be given a support bra to support healing tissues. Drains may also be placed at the incision sites to remove excess fluid. Our medical staff will schedule follow-up appointments to monitor your healing process and remove drainage tubes when necessary.
Many women can go back to work within seven days and can resume regular activities in about three to four weeks. Strenuous activity, such as exercise and sexual intercourse should be avoided for 2-6 weeks after your breast lift. It is advised patients should sleep on their back to further facilitate the healing process.
Once your perky breasts have fully healed, you’ll finally be able to bask in your beauty! Sadly, there is no foolproof way of stopping aging. We can, however, turn back the clock a little and treat our bodies with some R&R.
With healthy living, your breast lift will be something that you can enjoy for years on end.
Complementary Procedures
Gift your body with a comprehensive makeover that includes breast augmentation. Combining the two surgeries is a viable option for women wanting to create a larger and firmer bust.

FAQ
Will a breast lift make my breasts look bigger?
A breast lift raises the position of the breast and tightens the skin of the breast. If you’re looking to increase the size of your breasts then a breast augmentation may be right for you.
Will I be able to breastfeed after a breast lift?
Breast lifts don’t typically affect the way women nurse their children. However, it is advised that women who are considering the operation do so when they are done having children because of the effects pregnancy and breastfeeding have on the female body.
How soon will I see the results?
You can expect to see results immediately following surgery. However, expect final results to show within three to four months. This is the time it takes for the body to completely heal from the surgery and scarring to subside.
