A breast uplift changes the way the chest appears. Dr. Ahmed will meet with you just before your operation to finalize any remaining items. Next, he will mark your skin with temporary reference marks to highlight areas of focus. Once you are in the procedure room, you will rest comfortably and have a pleasant experience.
The procedure is highly customized to fit the needs of every patient. The general steps to operation involve incisions made along the breast where surplus skin is removed. The remaining skin is tightened and lifted, creating a personalized and flattering look. The areolas are often resized, and the nipples are relocated upwards. The result will be a reinvigorated chest that will make you feel young again.
The exact surgical pathway will depend on your needs and the shape of your breasts. Breast lift incision options include:
Crescent Lift
This method corrects minor scarring and sagging. It involves making a small incision halfway around the top half of the areola’s edge.
Peri-areolar or “Donut” Lift
Women experiencing mild forms of sagging are good candidates for this procedure. A circular incision is made from the edge of the areola. Like a crescent lift, this procedure is commonly performed alongside breast augmentation. The resulting scar traces the edge of the areola.
Vertical or “Lollipop” Lift
This method is commonly used because it allows the removal of excess skin and reshapes the entire breast with easily hidden scars. This method is for patients who have moderate sagging.
Inverted T or “Anchor” Lift
This technique is reserved for cases that require extensive reshaping to correct considerable sagging. It involves three incisions: one around the edge of the areola, one vertically from the bottom of the areola to the breast crease, and one along the inframammary fold, hidden in the breast crease. The anchor lift leaves some scarring behind, but it fades away with proper care.
