Buccal Fat Pad Removal
Conveniently located to serve the areas of Las Vegas and Henderson, NV
Buccal fat pad removal is a simple surgical solution to eliminate unwanted fat in the cheeks to promote a slimmer, more contoured facial profile. The buccal fat pads are located in the middle third of the cheeks. When they protrude from the face’s structure, the buccal fat pads can cause the face to look round and undefined. Many patients refer to this as “bunny cheeks” or as having a “baby face” – both of which can be detrimental to a person’s self-confidence.[1] To remedy this, Dr. Mustafa Ahmed and his team of experts at Las Vegas Body Sculpting simply remove the buccal fat pads through a surgical procedure, leaving the patient with clearer cheekbones and a more chiseled jawline. If you would like to see how a buccal fat pad removal can enhance your face’s contours and definition, please schedule a personal consultation at our Las Vegas offices. Buccal Fat Pad Removal Procedure
The buccal fat pad is a singular structure that lies between facial muscles. Its shape and volume remain consistent throughout life and are less likely to fluctuate during periods of growth and changes in weight.[2] So, surgical intervention is one of the few effective solutions to achieve the cheek contours you desire. During your buccal fat pad removal, Dr. Ahmed will first perform an intraoral incision. This approach is beneficial because it eliminates the risk of any visible scarring. Next, he will apply pressure on the outside skin to push the buccal fat pad to the incision site. Then, he will carefully excise the buccal pat from the connective tissue. Dr. Ahmed will make sure the surrounding tissue is left to rest properly and unaffected before suturing the incision closed. He then will repeat this process on the other buccal fat pad, ensuring that both cheeks are even and harmonious in appearance.
